Final Details

We are looking forward to meeting everyone at our Skills Day on the 29th September. The day is intended to be an informal day, and please feel free to come and go as you please. Arrivals can be from 10.00am

Location

All activities will be at Forest Farm in Whitchurch. Please see the map below. Forest Farm can either be accessed from Forest Farm Road in Whitchurch, or From Longwood Drive, which is accessible from the Coryton Motorway interchange (behind ASDA). If you wish to park, please do so on Longwood Drive and walk to the Warden's Centre on Forest Farm Road. Please do not park on Forest Farm Road, as space is too limited.

Registration will be in the Warden's Centre from 10.00am. There will be refreshments available here all day. First Aid facilities and toilets will also be available in the Warden's Centre.

Activities involving fires will be located at a separate part of the site (about 5 minutes walk from the Warden's Centre).

What to Bring?

Although tea, coffee and soft drinks will be provided, you will need to bring a packed lunch. We recommend you bring your own mug, as we don't know how many are provided. Finally if you are planning to take part in backwoods cooking, please bring a plate, knife and fork.

If you are planning to do backwoods cooking, and have any specific dietary requirements, please contact Rachel@northscouts.org.uk - as she can see what she might be able to do to tailor the activities to meet your needs.

Timetable

You can arrive from 10.00am onwards, and refreshments will be available in the Warden's Centre. To ensure that numbers are evenly distributed, there will be signing up sheets for the various activities.

Activities will be running for hour-long sessions as shown in the timetable below.

For those working towards your wood badge, we are hoping that some training advisors will be able to attend, to validate modules and to advise you on what you might need to do next.

Childern

Whilst this is not a day specifically for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, children of adults taking part are welcome to accompany them under their supervision
